The Visits of Your Excellency Declan Kelly

On 16th November 2010, the Ambassador of Ireland,The Excellency Declan Kelly and Mrs. Kelly, had visited our Alma Mater. Brother Vincent Cockery and Mr. Phoon Chong Chee welcomed their arrival to St. Michael’s Institution and Your Excellency had visited our school library, the Marian Library. Upon arrival, Your Excellency was greeted by our Head Librarians from the Board of Student Librarians, Toon Kah Chuen and Wong Pui Munn Cindy, as well as the Head Prefects, Tan Tihn Chern and Yogamalar. The School Rally was sung by the prefects and librarians, with the music played by the Michaelian Military Band. Brother Vincent explained about the historical statue in the library, “The Falcon and the Falconer” to Your Excellency. Soon, Your Excellency read out the letter by the President of Ireland, which is directed towards Brother Vincent over his contributions to the world. Before Your Excellency Declan Kelly and Mrs. Kelly leave the library, they have written their name on the guest book in the library and it is our pride to have your arrival upon our library.
